Meet Paula

Healthcare has never been just a career for me – it is a calling. I have dedicated my professional experience to helping patients and families navigate some of life’s most challenging and important moments with confidence, compassion, and dignity.

My Story

I graduated from CCRI in 2007 and dove into the deep end working in critical care as a post-open-heart-surgery RN.  This choice provided the fundamental building blocks of my clinical experience and knowledge.  Following that, I chose a different path in nursing – a non-bedside position as a Clinical Liaison for an IV Infusion Company.  This choice provided me with an incredibly well-rounded view of care continuity and offered me the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of patient care in the home as well as patient education.  I gained a broader view of the healthcare system and provided me with the confidence needed to develop relationships with a variety of healthcare professionals working in transitional care.  After several years in this role, I returned to the bedside working in oncology and bone marrow transplant.  Here, I discovered in myself a depth of caring I did not know I had.  There is nothing that compares to caring for individuals who are courageously navigating cancer.  I eventually went on to work as a travel nurse in post anesthesia care, recovering patients from anesthesia following surgery.  This was really fun and further enhanced my clinical skills.  I keep these clinical skills up by working per diem in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit in a hospital in Rhode Island.

Patient advocacy and education are my passions.  I believe that knowledge is power.  I was drawn to nursing following some very harrowing experiences while accompanying my own loved ones through our complex healthcare system.   Helping patients and families feel cared for while assisting them with having a strong voice in the care they receive is paramount.  Having a professional in your corner in this way provides an unparalleled support that not only lessens anxieties but also significantly improves patient outcomes.

I am drawn to caring for others.  In addition to continually growing and learning in my career as a Nurse, I have become certified in Non-Dual Kabbalistic Healing.  I have also received a professional certificate from University of Vermont as an End-of-Life Doula.  Both of these certifications have enriched my practice by deepening my commitment to wholeness.

My diverse experience as a Registered Nurse allows me to offer premium patient care while navigating today's healthcare system. I bring a strong clinical background in critical care, patient education, and healthcare navigation. My approach combines nursing expertise with genuine compassion, empowering patients and families to make informed decisions while feeling supported.  I am passionate about helping individuals maintain comfort, dignity, independence, and quality of life.

Today, I am expanding that mission through my concierge nursing practice, providing personalized, one-on-one care that bridges the gap between traditional healthcare and the individualized support patients and families often need. My goal is to simplify the healthcare experience, improve outcomes, and provide peace of mind through expert clinical care and compassionate guidance.
